Introduction
Each client is given the ability to Blacklist mobile phones numbers (CLI's) against three options:
- All SMS
- Premium SMS
- Bulk SMS
If a user is added to either blacklist then they will not receive SMS messages from accounts that are associated to either the Bulk or Premium type modifier.
The blacklist is engaged when a client sends out more than one message at any given time. If only one message is sent then the blacklist will not screen this message. This is an assumption that you may be contacting the user personally.
On each send the system will return the number of CLI's to be sent to, if this number was reduced due to duplication, and lastly any reduction due to blacklisting. So the client has a visible indication of the process of each send.
Usage
- Firstly make sure you have selected SMS Centre in the top right Site Selection menu. This will give you the required navigation for the SMS Module.
- In the left hand navigation click on Blacklist. As a rule most navigation elements are produced in alphabetical order to ease searching.
- The Blacklist screen initially shows all the entries added by you and any sub-clients you have. It is possible to do specific searches and filtering on this data. And also download the data in various formats using the icons to the left of the title.
- To add a blacklisted CLI, simply click on the 'Add icon' which is a green circle with a plus sign within it. This will then display a form where the details need to be edited. Please complete all required elements and click submit. Please only click submit once. If there are issues then please contact Triangle immediately.
- To edit an existing blacklist entry please click the 'Edit icon' in the row you wish to edit which is a blue circle with a diagonal pencil through it. This will show the form with the data already completed. Edit this data and click submit. Please only click submit once. If there are issues then please contact Triangle immediately.
Notes
- If a client wishes to instead define a White List then please contact Triangle, as this is a request we have not received before then this ability is not coded into the system, but can be easily added to the clients login if required. There may be a small charge for developing this.
- We only block on account types, if a client wishes to block on account ID then please contact Triangle and we can arrange this development, but we find blocking on type the safest and simplest method.
